Introducing Arnie.M

A year on from taking home the post-its and claiming a corner of our lives for ‘work’ we’ve learnt that everything the WFH experts said was true: dress for work, make time for fresh air, stock up on Pom-Bears for bribing the kids and, most importantly, create a workspace you can ‘close’ at the end of the day.

Fortuitously, Arnie.M, a Manchester-based family business launched last year, were way ahead in the WFH game and had already dedicated the last few years to stress-testing their beautifully designed & crafted modular home-workspace.

Introducing Old Town General Store

Like many other indie shops, on Wednesday December 2nd Old Town General Store in Stockport will joyfully open its doors to customers again. Unlike most of its shop mates, the store was first launched at the end of October and was open for just a few days before the second lockdown. Gulp.

In today’s blog, the store owner Tony tells us why he set up shop in the middle of a pandemic, why quality socks could be on everyone’s Christmas list this year and what’s kept him going through this rollercoaster we call 2020…

Give Handmade this Christmas & Support Manchester Makers

On December 2nd one of the Northern Quarter’s catalyst spaces, Manchester Craft & Design Centre, will welcome back fans of beautiful and handmade gifts.
