Goldfinch Brookes

A self taught woodworker based in a small workshop in Manchester, Gareth makes fine furniture that will last for many generations. Handmade using beautiful hardwoods, his aim is to bring people happiness.
Gareth makes some stock pieces in particular styles, but works mostly on a commission basis. Commissioned work can take 6-8 weeks.
Jenna Nicole Designs

Based in a repurposed container in Ancoats on Pollard Yard Jenna Nicole Designs rework old furniture by stripping it back, reupholstering to create bespoke, one-off pieces of statement furniture and soft furnishings.
Everything in the shop is hand made by Jenna using local and UK fabric designers.

Vic Wright Studio

Vic Wright is a Sculptor and works from her studio in Greater Manchester. Typically Vic’s work takes the form of casts and has an explorative approach to her work. She wants to capture the differences between contrasting elements, to create a visual language between materials. Her work evokes the natural world, only amplified, distorted and moulded to give new context.

Behind a row of Terrace houses in the West of Manchester resides Van The Welder’s small perfectly formed fabrication shop. Stephen (affectionately known as Ste-van) worked for over 31 years as a welder/fabricator both in the UK and for a time in Barcelona, SteVan has the capability to create anything you can imagine in a metal of your choice. From Crittal style doors, camper van roof racks to bespoke furniture.

Jane Blease is a lighting and interior studio founded in 2007, based within Manchester Craft and Design Centre, a stunning Victorian market building. Here you can take your time browsing or discuss one-off pieces with Jane directly.
Made from sustainably sourced fine wood veneer, each piece is intricately laser cut and finished with hand embroidery or printed with bold designs.

Manchester Ceramics Collective

Manchester Ceramics Collective is a group of 13 ceramicists and potters working out of a shared production studio in Old Trafford. Formed in 2018, the collective now creates ceramics for some of Manchester’s top chefs, restaurants, coffee shops and cafes as well as featuring work in independent stores and galleries across the country. In November 2020 they launched their online shop.

Ferrious, Altrincham

Ferrious began life in 1991, a partnership between two friends Jeremy West and Paul Tempest. Initially working in metal, they designed bars, lighting and furniture for the clubs and bars of Manchester. In 1995 they were commissioned to design Lush restaurant on Sackville Street, and from this grew a collection of furniture. From there Ferrious found they were creating fewer one-off pieces instead, launching a collection of furniture each year. With the realisation that they were manufacturing more than designing, in 2005 Ferrious opened their first showroom.
